The flu season in the United States can begin as early as October and last as late as May. The flu (influenza) is a disease that can lead to hospitalization and, in severe cases, even death. April is National Alcohol Awareness Month. Alcohol use disorder is a serious illness. Alcohol use disorder occurs when the continued use of alcohol causes problems with health, work, home or school.  In addition, a person may go through withdrawal symptoms when not drinking. There are over 88,000 deaths attributed to excessive alcohol use in the United States.
